Priest Tells Congress She'd Break Law to Help Minor Cross State Line to get an Abortion

Were Congress to outlaw the transporting of a minor without her parents’ permission across state lines to get an abortion, an abortion- and gay-rights activist testifying on Capitol Hill Thursday she would break the law to continue to help girls end their pregnancies.

Appearing as a Democratic Party witness at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, Dr. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. recalled the time she took a 15-year-old girl she had never met before to get an abortion.

“Although New Hampshire was closer to that girl’s home than Boston, as it happened, I did not take her across state lines,” Ragsdale said. “Nor did I, to my knowledge, break any laws.

“But if either of those things had been necessary in order to help her, I would have done them,” she continued. “And if helping young women like her should be made illegal I will, nonetheless, continue to do it.”

Ragsdale cited her vows as an Episcopal priest as the reason why she would “have no choice” but to break the law.

Ragsdale is well known for her activism for homosexual and abortion rights.

At a Jan. 24, 2010 event organized by the Jane Fund, a Massachusetts-based group that raises funds for abortions, Ragsdale delivered a speech in which she said she was “angry and fed up” at people who had spoken out again her sexuality – Ragsdale is a lesbian – and her radical stance on abortion.

It doesn’t sound like she takes her job or her religion very seriously. A PINO. Priest in name only.

First of all she must not be familiar with 1 Timothy 3:2. Second of all, she seems to have little or no compassion for the unborn, something that every Christian has buried in their heart.

Let her speak now and forever condemn herself.

The truth: She wants as many abortions as possible because half of all abortions are black mothers aborting their children. The others are simply collateral damage to her goal of eliminating the black race.

NH has a new parental notification law. MASS has such a law.
http://hotair.com/archives/2011/06/23/new-hampshire-lawmakers-pass-abortion-parental-notification-bill-over-veto/

Hartford, CT is the destination for Springfield MA abortion-seekers with a youth. No parental notification in CT. A mere 20-minute ride.

So this is a real deal situation, not a hypothetical discussion.

If a parent, finds out a stranger,,took their minor daughter, out of the state, to get an abortion. And the plan is to drop off daughter at home like nothing happened. Realizing that means you wouldn’t know to watch for depression. You might think a fever was a flu,, not a lethal infection. etc etc,,,

If someone took such a risk with my daughter,,,,,,

Wouldn't she be committing a felony anyway, for abortion purposes or not? I mean transporting a minor across state lines for any reason without parental permission.

Or, wouldn't the parents have rock solid grounds to sue this false apostless into oblivion?

If it was my daughter and I found out that she did, It would be the last minor in this world that she would help get an abortion.

She would break the law, override a parent and thinks abortion is a blessing. She is no Priest.
