verse 7 “shows IF WE KEEP THE WALK THE SON PURIFIES.”

You'll never get it as long as you keep making up scripture that doesn't exist...The scripture doesn't say IF WE KEEP THE WALK...

In fact, we all fall down far too often, even while walking in the light...Paul fell down often...Peter clearly did as well...

But yet while we constantly fall, John tells us that we have overcome, already...

Hi Iscool - All due respect. I just think it very important to point out. It seems we are splitting hairs at times. It is all there in confession by John. . I am not talking catholic. Which can be both. A confession to Jesus. It is in black and white If you do not see the obvious I will be praying for you." IF"is a requirement, condition or stipulation. John confessed his sins in the "we " of those verses. He included himself.
