I am pro-life. I believe Planned Parenthood is responsible for the mass murder of untold millions of pre-born infants.
Nevertheless, I find it abhorrent that someone who presumably shares my pro-life views, who shares my conviction that abortion doctors are doing the work of the devil bombed a Planned Parenthood clinic this past Sunday in Grand Shute, Wis.
The FBI has joined with the local police in Grand Shute to investigate the bombing. According to reports, a homemade explosive device was placed outside a window where it ignited, setting off a small fire inside the clinic.
The bomb did minimal physical damage. But it has done considerable damage to the pro-life community because it has given abortion rights advocates fresh ammunition to portray those of us who oppose the ungodly slaughter of the pre-born are extremists willing, as in Grand Shute, to stoop to domestic terror.
That negative portrait is bolstered by annual statistics compiled by the National Abortion Federation, the professional association of abortion practitioners. In 2011, it recently reported, there were 114 violent attacks against abortion providers, including one bombing, one incident of arson, three physical assaults, eight burglaries and 27 incidents of vandalism.
Some more zealous members of the pro-life community may consider attacks on abortion providers morally justified. After all, Planned Parenthood and other abortionists send more than one million unborn children to their deaths every year.
But I am reminded of the Biblical accounts of the passion of Jesus, which Christians commemorate this upcoming Easter weekend.
On the night Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, his disciples thought they would protect him. Lord, shall we strike with the sword? they asked. And, with that, Peter struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
To which Jesus responded, Permit even this. And He touched the ear of the high priests servant and it was miraculously healed.
Some members of the pro-life community are like Peter at Gethsemane. They act rashly without considering the consequences of what they do. They think they are doing the Lords will by attacking abortion providers.
But I believe the Lord would advise them to put away their swords, put away their bombs and maintain the high ground in the struggle against abortion.
Because those of us who fight for the lives of the unborn peacefully and lawfully are on the side of the angels.
And while the arc of the moral universe is long, our faith assures us that it bends toward justice.
If not, how do you know it was perpetrated by someone who shares your pro-life views?
Well, if it "recently reported", then it must be true.
I'm assuming you have the breakdown available of how many of these incidents resulted in the arrest, arraignment, trial and conviction of pro-lifers.
Please share.
Due process much...
Vandalism could be from anyone. Former patients, employees etc.
If there is a specific person or a back story, criticize away.
If someone sets off a poorly constructed bomb in an abortion clinic the day before a Presidential primary... wait for some evidence.
Why let a pesky thing like facts get in the way of a good guilt trip?
Any person knowledgeable about of sympahetic with the methods and goals of the prolife movement is keenly aware that nonviolent prayer and action save lives.
Anyone who does not know that either has no knowledge of, no sympathy with, the prolife movement.
An unknown person who places a "home-made bomb" at an abortion site which does negligible damange to the clinic but gets huge bad publicity for the prolife movement, may be getting exactly the results he wanted. Does that occur to you too?
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if this was an episode of "active propaganda" by a clinic staffer or some abortion supporter.
I'm not saying it's utterly impossible that an anti-0aboriton activist would have done this. I AM saying it's vanishingly improbable.

Vandalism is a violent crime? I’m seeing five violent crimes, out of 114 claimed. And let’s not forget about the “Sicilian retirement plan.”
http://www.postcrescent.com/article/20120403/APC0101/120403095/Planned-Parenthood-Grand-Chute-Appleton-bomb-explosive-suspect-identified Guy was out on parole. Has a long list of priors. My guess is that he was doing the bombing for hire by the landlord or the abortion operator. The last few hundred bombings of this nature were insiders looking for a public subsidy, or an insurance payoff, or just for advertising purposes.
Pretty obviously not the work of a dedicated activist. More likely, I would think, a dope addict or drunk.
This article reminded me of the case of the abortion facility worker who filed a false report of a bomb at her establishment.
