“But on the same day, Benedict’s humility was apparently taking a break when he responded to a group of Austrian priests promoting the ordination of woman and married clergy. Depending on what account you read, the Pope denounced, slammed, and/or ripped into those holding this alternative view. An Irish priest, Father Tony Flanner, is also under investigation for similar views. For some reason, their counterparts in saffron robes who follow Buddha were given greater respect.”

This is just one of the parts ot the article that lets one know that the author has a hard time rubbing two brain cells together.

By the by, do you ever plan to respond to anything on threads you post? Don’t you think that’s a little soft, considering this is a message board type of website?

.
What has B16’s humility have to do with his anger against the Austrian priests?

Pretty soon they’ll say that Christ’s humility was taking a break when He drove the moneychangers from the temple grounds.

The irony is that, although the US media *did* characterize the comments as a harsh slapdown, the target did not. Of course, you might expect anyone writing about the comments to go find out what the Pope actually did say. But then Raiders News isn’t a news site, it’s the ravings of a blogging idiot.

Also, to criticize the MSM handling of this issue:

The comments were NOT part of his homily of the main Holy Thursday mass, but of the Chrism mass, a special mass wherein the priests pledge their loyalty and obedience to the Church. How can the pope NOT say something to those who have pledging disobedience as they also pledge obedience?
