IMO, it is not the Three Stooges, and I will not be going to the theatre to see the movie. I’ve seen enough watching the trailers to believe this is a pale imitation. Perhaps when the movie comes out on Red Box I’ll spend a dollar to watch the movie. Otherwise, no.

Awful...and I’m not Catholic. But, with the reviews it has received so far, I do not think too many people will see this trash.

I saw the segment on WWE. Ill conceived. It should have been a fight between Curly and a bully type non wrestler, and Larry should have played ‘pop goes the weasel’ on his fiddle which would have revived Curly and carried him to victory.

I expected this to be a disaster, as I wrote earlier on this thread. It’s not bad at all. It’s not the Three Stooges, of course. It’s more like a tribute band. But even that has its own charm. And so does the movie.

There is not a hint that the attractive nun is a ‘hoochie.’ All the nuns are depicted as loving the orphans and the Stooges. The Stooges are motivated by love for the orphanage and the nuns. The Stooges are bound by brotherly love for each other. There’s nothing offensive here.

Catch the movie on cable or on Redbox. It will make you laugh. And honestly, as a lifelong Stooge fan, I couldn’t ask for more.

for-clinton, did you read my post above? Please do note that the fairy tale about the Church standing idly by IS a fairy tale. Could the Church have done more? Yes we could have -- the Catholics in Germany were opposed to Naziism (note-- that's not a jibe against Protestants, Protestantism in Germany was weakened in the 1800s when a devout Calvinist Emperor forcibly joined the Calvinist and Lutheran churches and made this united church for all purposes a department of the Prussian government -- this had a horrific effect as Calvinists and Lutherans have serious difference in core beliefs and the government forcing just made people lose faith in God and forced a faith in the welfare state being set up -- this made them ripe for the Aryan Christianity lie created in the 30s)

The Vatican remember was from the 1870s little more than a prison after the unification of Italy. This ended with the Concordat in the 1920s which severely limited what they could do or not.

In the circumstances, I dare you to name any other 'player' besides the Polish underground that did as much. FDR and Churchill's governments KNEW about the concentration camps and the holocaust and they did nothing.
