The “social justice” label has been highjacked from the Church, by the Marxists, that’s for sure. Now the term sets everyone’s hair on fire, including mine.
All I know is that the Church has never been sympathetic at least in its warnings and teachings against socialism, but so many examples of bad pockets of socialist behavior and voting patterns of Catholics have been rampant in the United States.
I missed how it all happened but thankful that being passive has ended.
For a start, try J. Brian Benestad's Pursuit of a Just Social Order. Amazon has it. It goes only up to 1980, but it's very good for earlier years
