Well, I’m not Jewish, but it seems to me that to be willing to die for something one would need to first live for it.

The Jewish idea is very simple...(tounge in cheek,) that is, we are prepared to die—to give up/over/return—our essence to our Creator. This is the only way to “get” His attention. Ok, it’s not so simple... but feel free to give a listen, though it’s geared towards Jews.
