Yeah, you've heard of them. Obama's longtime "Liberation Theology" guru, Rev. Jeremiah("God Damn America") Wright, is a UCC pastor.

They're a mainline Protestant denomination primarily resulting in the mish-mash together of various Evangelical, Reformed, and Lutheran components. They have about a million members in the U.S. They're into civil rights, gay rights, women's rights and abortion rights. They call themseves "an extremely pluralistic and diverse denomination" but of course not so madly diverse as to attract or retain people with the beliefs of historic Chritianity..
