I don’t think you have even read what you are posting because some of these verses do not in any way support your thesis. For instance, John 10:37-39 says nothing about how we are justified. In fact, it supports my point, namely that works are an indication that justification has already taken place. Works are an indication that a man is one of Christ’s sheep.

If you believe your works play a part in your salvation then for you Christ merely made it possible for you to save yourself. Good luck on your lifelong self-reclamation project.

In contrast, I know that Christ is the author and finisher of my faith. He didn’t merely make it possible for me to save myself through my own works, He actually saved me. I’m resting in Christ, not working my way to Him. That said, I’m in the early stages of preparations for the foreign mission field. I’m not doing that to add to Christ’s work on the cross in order to be saved. His work is complete and it was perfect. I’m doing it because I’m already saved and I know that there are other sheep from all tongues, tribes and people who need the gospel.

“46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:”

Luke 6:46

“46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:”

Sorry bout that.
