White supremacist Tom Metzger was sued by SPLC claiming Skinheads in Portland, Ore. had been influenced by his White Aryan Resistance (WAR) group. The skinheads beat an Ethiopian student to death. A civil lawsuit by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League was filed against Metzger and WAR that resulted in a $12.5 million verdict against the Metzgers, their organization and two of the killers.
Metzger's son was also named in the suit. The year may have been 1990.
When the Atlanta bombing happened I told people in the office that the FBI will immediately grab the first "loser" off the street and accuse him.
Well the "reporting" by the MSM got their "fat tits caught in the ringer" (to paraphrase Nixon's Attorney General John Mitchell) and they paid dearly. I think maybe DOJ had to settle with Jewell also.
IOW the press and government can be held accountable.
