1. CA Proposition 8 which banned homosexual marriage was approved by the voters in 2008. After several rulings and appeals, a 3-judge panel on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled it unconstitutional in FEB 2012. It appears now that it will go before the SCOTUS on appeal.
2. IL state attorney general is trying to impose same-sex marriage through the state supreme court in 2012.
3. NJ state legislature passed a bill approving same-sex marriage in FEB 2012. Gov. Chris Christie (R) vetoed it on 2/20/2012, just hours after it passed.
4. ME voters will vote on a homosexual marriage referendum in the 2012 election. The Act to Allow Marriage Licenses for Same-Sex Couples and Protect Religious Freedom clarifies that, if approved, it would not require clergy to perform gay marriages if it violates their beliefs. In 2009, Maine voters overturned a homosexual “marriage” law that the state legislature and governor had approved in May of that year.
5. MD voters may add a homosexual marriage referendum to the ballot in the 2012 election after the state legislature and governor approved it earlier in March.
6. MN voters will vote on a constitutional amendment in the 2012 election which defines marriage as between 1 man and 1 woman.
7. WA voters will vote on a same-sex marriage referendum in the 2012 election after the state legislature and governor passed legislation legalizing it earlier in February.
As a Maryland resident I will be voting to stop same sex marriage and I will also be voting to get rid of the pervert loving Sons of Beach’s that passed it.

I wonder what effect the referendums in WA and MD would have on current law if majorities vote against gay marriage.
All that can be hoped for is that in the 4 states with referendums - Maine, Maryland, Washington and Minnesota - majorities will vote against gay marriage, to counter the judicial tyranny.
Scotus will impose fag marriage on our once Free Republic via the 14th Amendment. Count on it.
I think that they will. As Scott Lively recently wrote, the “worm is getting to turn.”
I’ve seen solid evidence of this lately, and am encouraged. The pastor at my rather large evangelical church - call it a mega-church if you’d like - had been loth to mention the homosexual political attack on society with any kind of critical urgency. Today, he was much more open about not just homosexual “marriage,” but about homosexuality itself, excoriating it as a sin, and even calling Obama’s position on it a promotion of evil, to enthusiastic applause from the congregation.
I was pleasantly shocked to hear all of this, and hope that it will be just an inception of an effective push-back both locally and nationally.

The four above are amongst the more liberal states in the country.
I’m predicting that at least one of them, perhaps two, will vote -for- gay marriage this time around.
No joy in that here. It’s just the way I see it...
If they had used the language of the proponents of the law, it would’ve been in quotes. Funny how that works.
Groups in all 4 are claiming that the counterfeit “marriage” folks are polling success in these referendums, which should always be viewed as suspect. They thought that they were very close to defeating North Carolina’s amendment in their polls, but weren’t even in neighborhood with their final number.
They’ve done other dubious polling in other states that eventually passed their marriage referendums successfully. I wouldn’t listen to their shouts of premature victory just yet.
We’re going to let the insane define things? A male trying to mate with another male’s anal canal is insane. A female trying to mate with another female using a rubber appliance is insane. It’s like Aunt Thelma sitting at your dinner table trying to eat by sticking a turkey baster in her ear and telling you that’s her lifestyle. It may be, but it’s still insane behavior.

That would likely lead to legalizing polygamous marriage via the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment.

The homo agenda to destroy our society must be stopped.
Its going before the Supreme Court soon, if gay marriage wins a referendum, the gay lobby will use it as proof of changing public opinion. If Supreme Court buys the narrative that society chose this path, they may chose to expedite the process. Which is why it is so important that these measures fail (and the one in Minnesota passes).
That said, DOMA is probably unconstitutional atleast in part. It allows one state to not recognize another states marriage license, which likely violates full faith and credit clause of US Constitution. If Texas allows 16 year olds to marry, and New Mexico does not, a couple married in Texas does not become divorced if they move to New Mexico. It will be very hard to justify and explain why same sex marriage is an exception.
