AMERICAN pastors are in this list. If world-wide, then absolutely! These past 2 popes have revolutionized the Catholic church!

Fr. John Corapi before he fell.

IMO "falling" should knock someone off of the list, which means Charles Stanley should probably come off, too.

Max Lucado is not on this list?

Deeply flawed list.

IMO -- a better question...

(BTW -- "succession" wasn't mentioned or suggested above)

Why shouldn't they???

Through Christ's promises and prophecies...
....and each recording of the Great Commission...

The works and wonders of the Holy Spirit have always been...
...And remain God's endorsement for the heralding of the Gospel...

....As well as the affirmation of HIS high calling in the life and expressions of HIS ministry in the life of HIS humble servants.

The principles premises of Ephesians 4:11ff are also germane...
Enjoy your day.

And no Joel Osteen or John Hagee or Franklin Graham.

Seriously stupid list.

And even though they are NEGATIVELY influential and they are play-acting as preachers, I suppose you should add the race pimping reverends (Al and Jesse) to this list.

I can imagine that there are a lot of pompous little tin-pots who are very surprised that they are not on this list.

I just looked over the list and noticed one name which could have only been left off on purpose.

Jerry Falwell.

Not a lot of Word of Faith ministers on there, I noticed that Peter Poppoff is still on TV, and he is selling miracle anointing water that can make you rich. Whatever.

I want to know what anyone knows about Marc Driscoll. Everytime I see him he comes across as arrogant, and he is supposed to use foul language in church, dress like an auto mechanic at work, etc. Kind of I am so cool that I can do whatever I want, in stark contrast with men of the Bible who have been in the presence of God, and fell on their face prostrate.

I also am curious about the “seeker” movement, I think I go to one. The guy that preaches walks on stage, and walks off stage, gone there over a year, and he has yet to present himself to the people that attend just to shake his hand and say hello after the service. My wife does not feel comfortable there because its so big, there is really no community, with the standard reply is that “oh, you’ll get that in your small group.” OK, and they are good, but you still don’t have a lot of community as a church. Its just different.

Anyway, I would like to know other peoples thoughts. I am not reformed, and I don’t think the basis is Biblical, but I love to hear John MacArthur, RC Sproul, D. James Kennedy. They are awesome. I also love Jack Graham of Prestonwood Baptist, and Robert Jeffress of Dallas FBC, really, really great. Imagine the tough choice of trying to figure out whether to go to Jack Graham’s service, or Robert Jeffress, or Chuck Swindoll.

When and how, specifically, did Charles Stanley "fall"?

Is there a difference between lecturing/teaching and preaching a sermon?

I think there is. RC Sproul is active in the pulpit as well as a teacher/lecturer...

Well, I was immediately thinking of Fulton Sheen. He was a truly gifted Catholic preacher. OTOH, I do believe he has been deceased more than 25 years.

One really great Catholic “preacher” is Rev. George Rutler.
