Frank Bromm or Frank Broom?
Nice post. I have often wondered if we dishonor Christ when we keep carrying our burdens or guilt after we have asked and been granted forgiveness or relief. So many of us have asked for forgiveness for our sins and/or been granted relief from our suffering, yet we keep carrying the burden like an appendage we cannot do without. I think God is insulted when we do such things. The grace of God is a gift. We should treat it as such.
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my cleansing this I see—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
For my pardon this my plea—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Nothing can my sin erase
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Naught of works, ‘tis all of grace—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
This is all my hope and peace—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
This is all my righteousness—
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Thanks for your article; very well said!
These are also very profitable to hide our hearts:
“All we like have gone astray; and we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6)
“Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleaneth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

Ransom.
Those things are not punishment for sin. They are the consequences of sin, which was brought into the world by Adam and Eve. The wages of sin are death. Jesus' shed blood and death atoned for our sins, and gives us victory over death, in that those who accept Jesus as their savior will spend eternity in Heaven with God.
It sounds like you're saying that a believer should never be sick, depressed or poor, which is a "prosperity gospel", and very bad theology. I hope you're not falling for it.
Ping for later.
Whosoever believeth is not condemned, but whosoever believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
