Exactly!

There seems to be a failure to acknowledge the Protestants who have simply refused to admit their departure from the Church.

There are too many who judge all Catholics by the likes of Biden, Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, etc, and by painting all of us by this broad brush they are grievously and morally wrong.

If "Catholic" refers to all Catholics---laity, nuns and clergy---then we have to admit there are differing views on many doctrines and teachings.

I am not defending or agreeing with Biden but he is far from the only self-identified Catholic who "picks and chooses" which church teachings he believes.
