So what if Romney believes in elves and fairies?

(Yeah, that's who we want as THE leader in the free world...)

The point is that he believes in the good elves and fairies

The point is that Romney believes he is NOW a "god in embryo"...The point is that the one thing the God of the Bible railed against over & over among His people was idolatry -- the raising up of false gods as substitutes for Him.

The point is that the God of the Bible is readily provoked over His people who endorse and sanction men who make themselves out to be competing, rival gods of His.

The point is that the God of the Old Testament allowed His people to be taken into exile (Babylon) for that sin...especially when it was sanctioned by their kings!

The point is that this same God is still the Sovereign of nations, and He still can exercise temporal judgment upon people groups and nations.

Does Romney stalk your sensabilities to convert you to his religion ?

There are men here, I'm sure that view pornography ... are they lechers?

Do you want to lock up your daughters ?

Do you fear for your life, your freedom, your sanity ?

Or do you just subliminally file it away as a fact of maleness and don't really give too much a damn that some wise political posters in FR might watch pornography .. and LIKE it ?

You're making Romney out to be some kind of voodoo heebeejeebee and that with comparative hours before an election, you're throwing pennies on the ice hoping a skate might catch one.

Many people here pretty much know the LDS basics and quite frankly Cal ... we're not very riled up by it.

Is it weird?
Yup

Is it dangerous ?
Not to MY mind set.

Perhaps you have something you'd like to confess to us ?

Unfortunately, “neither” is not in the option set. In January 2013, either Obama or Romney WILL be in the White House.

For FREEPER in over 40 states (see post #14), sure it is.

The only quandary is for the TRUE swing states...which stands at about 7 right now.

FREEPER Residents in about 43 states could vote for Virgil Goode -- and such a vote would in no way effect the bottom-line outcome of this election.

It may be a cliche line, but it’s true.

How do you get invited to a Mormon wedding where they strip the bride naked and wash her down.
Sounds better than going to a titty bar.

Do they really do that?

Choose neither and you’ll end up with Obama.

So what is your point in posting this?

Would it be better to have Christians sit home and thus have Obama elected? Are you saying it would be better to have Obama as president?

Or do you really think Virgil Goode can become president if we all vote for him?

Really, I don't care about Romney's religious beliefs. What I care about is what will happen to the economy, and to our Constitutional liberties.

As long as Romney gets the economy on track to recovery, puts a lid on the deficit, and reins in government bureaucrats, he can believe he's the Tooth Fairy and wear a pink tutu and I'll clap politely at his dance recital.

Romney may believe someday he will own a planet.

Obama already believes he owns this one.

Romney may believe that in him is a seed of God, Obama believes he is god.

“Mitt Romney truly, unequivocally believes that when he dies, he is going to become a god in Heaven,” she said. “He is going be given his own kingdom/planet”

So what? He’ll find out if he gets there.

Again?!? So what? He doesn’t believe what you do.....

Is he of sound moral character? Appears to be....

Does he exercise good sound judgement? Yep

You have a beef with the Morman religion, I and most others don’t care.

Go peddle your wares to the DU forum.....

If you're in a state which is sure to overwhelmingly go to one or the other, and you wish to enter a protest vote, then go ahead and make yourself happy.

I'm in a swing state, so I won't.

You could write me in on the ballot. But then, to the extent possible, you would have some REAL change. First, Congress would be forcibly sent home. Martial law would be established. And then:

1. Documentation would be gathered on practicing, professed Muslims. They would then have 60 days to sell all assets and leave the country. Those too poor to pay for flights would have their exit tickets subsidized. Any other religious belief that decided it wanted to cause similar problems as that of Islam would face similar action.

2. All documented illegal aliens would have 30 days to leave on their own without forcible deportation. After that time period expired, they would be actively searched out and deported using all law enforcement agencies.

3. All welfare would be severely curtailed. Anyone rioting as a result would be subject to imprisonment at hard labor (to teach them how to work again) or shot if they became violent. Welfare would ONLY be for the elderly without means of support, disabled, retarded or very sick people, etc. (truly unable to provide for self).

4. Education would turned on its head. Strict standards and discipline would be reinstated. No tolerance for dissent on that issue at all. Educational programs would be put in place to meet the needs of every child. If a child simply could not do "bookwork" that well, then vocational programs to teach hands-on skills would be available. This is a terrible, deficient aspect of public education now.

5. Crime would be dealt with decisively. Laws would be changed to make it far easier to punish criminals per crimes committed without lawyer interference. No bias based on wealth or connections. If you committed the crime, you WOULD do the time or face execution for heinous crimes. No if, ands or buts. People would be inclined to stay away from situations that might get them in trouble (avoid the very appearance of evil, the scripture says).

6. All business activity would be suspended on Sundays. People would probably, by the time my policies were put in place, be turning back to God or wanting to worship some entity praying for relief from the stress. They would survive. A little devotion to God in times of trouble would certainly be a positive thing.

7. Abortion would be outlawed immediately. How can a nation kill its own? No excuse would suffice to override that decision. Abortion is primarily a means to cover up immorality for most who practice it, nothing else. Homosexuality would also not be tolerated. Other countries exist where that practice is tolerated.

So, you don't like those ideas? That's fine. Then don't complain about the leadership you're going to get. The only alternative is going to be dictatorial rule of some kind. People get the kind of government they deserve. If they turn away from God and the principles in His word, then things go from bad to worse. That is a historical fact. What a lot of you don't realize is that a moral leader would not be tolerated by an immoral people. How can you hope for a moral, righteous leader when the people are immoral, Godless, demanding permission for their anti-Biblical behavior (sexual immorality, lying, drinking, etc.)? A good man can NOT lead bad people. Good people will not tolerate a bad leader. Thus, the divide in the nation.

Yup. As Spurgeon said, "Of two evils, choose neither."

So, when given a choice between being hit with a tack hammer or a sledge hammer, you wisely let someone else choose for you. Got it.

Would it be better to have Christians sit home and thus have Obama elected?

No, I suggest Christians vote third party (Virgil Goode)

Are you saying it would be better to have Obama as president?

No. But either-one is highly problematic.

Or do you really think Virgil Goode can become president if we all vote for him?

If you live in one of 14 clear Obama blue states: The Left Coast -- CA, WA, OR, Hawaii; New England states like MA, Maine, CT, Rhode Island; DC area, including MD & Delaware; or NY-NJ; or IL and Minnesota...do you really believe voting for Romney in ANY of those states would actually give Romney a single electoral vote?

Answer is plainly "No" ... so until I see you lecturing Blue-staters in those states NOT to vote for Romney since he has no chance of taking ANY of those states, then spare me the question.

Btw: Virgil Goode of the Constitution Party is on the ballot in the following states:

1. Blue states:

Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, -- and if Michigan stays blue, that state, too.

Also, you can readily write in "Virgil Goode" in Illinois and Maryland.

If you live in one of these nine states (well, at least eight even if you subtract Michigan), there's absolutely NO reason to vote for Romney. Obama will win these states, anyway. If you've ever told somebody NOT to vote for a third-party candidate 'cause they'll lose, anyway...well, guess what? Your argument just collapsed on yourself in you live in these given states!!!

2. Red states:

Alabama, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia (looking more red than swing now), and Wyoming.

Also, you can readily write in "Virgil Goode" in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Montana, North Carolina (looking more red now than swing), and West Virginia.

So, even if we exclude Virginia and North Carolina and just concentrated on the other 17 red states listed above, if you're a FREEPER and you vote for Virgil Goode, Mitt Romney will not miss your vote. Obama will still lose these given states!

Therefore, why vote for a liberal pro-abort "god-in-embryo" like Romney when you can't even use a utilitarian relativist reason to do so?

3. Swing states:

Colorado, Florida (looking more red than swing), Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Well, this is where it gets "interesting" for utilitarianist philosophies vs. "principle"...

Do you want to train your children & grandchildren to vote always for the "right uniform color" (red) -- no matter what they espouse -- just 'cause it's a political "improvement" over the "blue" team?

Who do you vote for? The idolatry monger "god-in-embryo" Mitt Romney, or the false political messiah who may have Muslim-ties Obama? Or a third party like Virgil Goode -- knowing that God sees your vote?

You WILL have one of them, you foolish jackass.

When I stand before my Creator, I will be comfortable with “Lord, given the tough choice I did not create, I chose the one that was pulling America only ten degrees away from the true angle of Your WORD, rather than doing nothing, therefore helping to choose the anti-Christian Marxist that is pulling this country 180 degrees in opposition to You.”

I have prayed about it and am perfectly fine with it. I detect no still, small voice telling me to slime Romney in an internet forum, because he is not Spurgeon.

Your silly jihad against Romney be damned. If you have your earthly, self-righteous, vain way, this nation will slip yet further into the clutches of Satan.

The problem with this philosophy is that voting "third party" is only going to give you the option of yet another "evil". There is no one righteous, no not one.

I once got caught up in this Constitution Party nonsense but my eyes got opened.

They are no more righteous than the Republican and probably worse because these cowards know full well they have no chance of ever being elected to anything and they don't want to be elected. This way they can beat their chests, proclaiming how righteous they are.

If these others are so pure, why don't they stay in the Republican party and fight and strengthen the Republican party?

Stop and think about it. They don't want to. They don't care if Obama is elected to continue to destroy this country--their boated egos are more important.

Let's deal in reality, folks.

Yep, I will choose “Cyrus the Persian” any day over the Lying Muzzie Commie Bastard.

I lived in NM for 14 years in a mining town. There were many Mormons and quite a few Commies there. It was an education for an old West Texas farm boy.

Sure Mormonism is nutty. But they were good family men, honest business men, reliable Republicans and did not kidnap Christian daughters.

On the other hand I got a clear view of Communists. I have no illusions of what their designs are.

Now we are witnessing a convergence of the Islamists, Communists/Marxists/Fascists and the Globalists against the Christians and Jews.

Nothing short of dying will keep me from the polls on November 6 and casting my ballot for Mitt Romney.

Wished there were better choices, but our lying media have precluded that from happening.
