[CynicalBear:] God said He hated all the feast days that He didn’t institute. It’s impossible to get around that.

While that is true, I have to agree with svcw, that salvation is through Christ alone and not dependent on works.

TRUE. But:

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

(e-Sword:KJV)

AND...

1Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

(There are many, many examples in the NT about keeping the commandments of both Yeshua and YHWH, which must logically mean the very same thing... Search 'commandments' in the NT)

Is celebrating Christmas and Easter a sin?

What is the definition of sin? Is it not breaking the Torah (commandments)?

But more importantly, wrt the Holy Days, They are prophetic... 'shadows of good things to come'... They ARE the 'times and seasons' mentioned in 1Th 5:

1Th 5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Do you suppose that might have something to do with the bridesmaids who's lamps are not full at the time when the groom comes?

You've got me on that one. I've heard many different interpretations of that verse and don't quite know what to do with it myself.

As for the rest, I really do understand where you're coming from. It makes sense tome and I can't disagree with it. I think its a loss to Christianity that it's lost its Jewish roots.
