Oh good grief is right. Fine, obey yourself, but prelates and the underlying Greek do NOT mean what you and King James want it to mean.

prelate
Definition prel·ate [ préllət ]
prel·ates Plural
NOUN

1. high-ranking member of clergy: a high-ranking member of the Christian clergy, e.g. an abbot, bishop, or cardinal

[ 13th century. Via French < medieval Latin praelatus, < past participle of Latin praeferre (see prefer) ]

Listen how do you NOT understand what I wrote: I choose to submit to and be a slave to Jesus, the living Christ.

If you choose to be a slave or submit to man be my guest, you do that with free will.

(The Bible was written in greek hebrew and aramaic, not French(?) and Latin)

St_Thomas_Aquinas, That would be a group of born again Christians that one is is fellowship with.

All of which are the French "prelates"

I refer you to a post made up thread a bit:

1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

You see, when Christ died on the cross the veil was rent and the old Jewish priesthood was no longer needed because now each believer had access to the throne of God through the blood of Jesus. Jesus is now the High Priest who represents us before the Throne of God.

Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

The church is the body of believers, ie those that are born again.

And that honor the Bible:

Eph 5:21--Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (King James Version)

24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

God, and even Pope Peter, have proclaimed born again Christians to be Holy Royal priests in order to minister to each other. One on one, or if needed, before the whole congregration that one is fellowshiping with

St_Thomas_Aquinas, I believe your inquiry was answered quite well in This Post

I think this quote from above

"when Christ died on the cross the veil was rent and the old Jewish priesthood was no longer needed because now each believer had access to the throne of God through the blood of Jesus"

clears things up quite well.
