Perhaps you have never heard or read about Dietrich Bonhoffer......there are times in one’s life when you must make a choice....Ratzinger made his and at that time in his life he did not chose to follow God
I've been aware of Mr. Bonhoeffer for decades when I first bought his book "The Cost of Discipleship". I am saying we grow up. We are not the same person we were when we were a pre-teen or a teenager. People change. Mr. Ratzinger should be judged on his actions later in life. I certainly disagree with his choice of church and their policies but I do not attack the man personally.
