Upthread you said that Christians should avoid the company of heathens.

However, St. Patrick - himself an exemplary Christian - did not avoid the company of heathens.

Why should Cardinal Barbarin reject St. Patrick's example and take your advice instead?

Nobody understands why a french Catholic bishop would do this, with an imam who condemned the kidnapping of 7 french adults and children by African Muslim terrorists and led his followers in prayer that they be released. Or why the story could possibly have been made public, it’s almost like he hopes his puzzling actions with this imam who prayed for the hostages to be released are spread far and wide, for some strange reason. It truly is a puzzle that may be beyond our understanding for all time. Obviously.
