crown = prize, the blessing of having His Name upon us. It is not literal, it is spiritual.

Nice theory.. so the Crown is not real but metaphorical?..
I agree... wonder what ELSE is metaphorical in the New Testament?.. i.e. the Sabbath.. born again.. water and wine.. etc..

Interesting subject that!... could make a good conversation..
The literalists(arians) would hate it though..

How many ‘Ways’ do the Scriptures speak of? Two, His Way and the way of disobedience. We have a choice to make and the lie that the "Hoggards" of the world preach is that there is third way when there is not. This is not my truth, it is His Truth, the Truth that put on flesh and died for our sins so that we could go and sin no more.

The author appears to be either drunk, or on some drug.

The sentences don’t hang together to yield a coherent thought anywhere in the article.

Is this really the way it was published?

Get the behind me Satan!

Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
Job 19:9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

Lam 5:16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Rev 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

The big issue with the “Sabbath is none of us ultimately know if the Saturday or Sunday that some us may call the Sabbath (or not)...is actually the Sabbath. It wouldn’t surprise me that God’s resting day occurred on what we would call..a Thursday! God covenanted via the Decalog that the 7th day should be kept as the Sabbath...the 7th day would have been what ever the Hebrews called it based on time keeping used in Egypt before they left it. There was no mention of Abraham and the earlier Patriarchs keeping a special day called the Sabbath...none that I saw in the Bible.

As for the record lets actually look at Romans 14:

14 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister[a]? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”[b]

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.

22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.[c]”

There is only an oblique reference to fasting in verse 5 of that chapter about fasting; that is,”FEASTING or Abstaining” as conscience may dictate. Verse 5 refers not necessarily about feasting or fasting, but about special days to be kept based on one’s on conscience on the matter. Since even by your own words, the Sabbath is a “feast” day; then, according to Romans 14, we shouldn’t even be arguing over the technicalities of WHEN or how for that matter or what should be consumed or not consumed!
Keeping the Sabbath on a Saturday or a Sunday is a Faith thing, a conscience thing. Roman’s 14 doesn’t support your position at all!

Those who can’t speak to that which is written are those that really have anything useful to speak but just like to hear themselves speak.

>> “Welcome to the world of legalism.” <<

.
Obedience to YHVH is not legalism.

Legalism is the belief that you can save yourself through works and the adherance to the law.

Yeshua commanded the we keep the sabbath, and he did so himself, as did all of his disciples and his apostles. Every convocation written of in the NT was a keeping of a sabbath.

You still have yet to show where Paul speaks the word “Sabbath” in all this talk of his about fasting. Again, the Sabbath was not and never will be a day of fasting as it is His day of celebrating all that He created. It is a day of joy, NOT a day of sorrow. For that He gave us the 10th day of the Seventh month, the Day of Atonement.

I see... you do realize Jesus never advocated reading the bible for truth.. ever..
He advocating going to the Holy Spirit to learn of ALL truth..
BUT to do that you MUST believe the Holy Spirit is THERE and will aid you in that pursuit..

If you do not have an invisible friend(Holy SPirit) THEN.. you MUST go to the Bible to learn of “truth”..
Most do that.. you know... worship the bible.. have no need of a Holy Spirit..

Jesus said, GO TO the Holy Spirit NOT read the bible..
Which some do, but most DO NOT..

Example: He said he would write his words in your heart not on rice paper.. which is much more practical.. Bible worshippers are much more common than friends of the Holy Spirit..

He’s writing them in our hearts and in our minds; no other way we can do it. I’ve never heard of the Hoggard guy; but I’ll take grace any day.- We may be thinking we’ve got it all figured out and that we’re not so bad after all; but in reality all our righteousness is as filthy rags before Him.

Sorry, but that is a provably false belief.

The word contains sufficient mention of astronomic events to prove astronomically that our days of the week are consistent with the beginning.

So what? In the absence of accurate records going back to the day of Creation as to exactly how many days it has been, ANY day of the week is an arbitrary choice. Pick a day and call it the Sabbath.

This is akin to the faction of Evangelicals who proclaim using any text but the KJV will get one a trip to the infernal regions.

Jesus also told us that the ‘seed’ of the good fruit is the Word of God (Lk 8:11)

He also told us that the spirit that is sent to us is the ‘Spirit of Truth’ and that truth will lead us in walking righteously before the Father as Jesus walked righteously before the Father. (John 14-17)

Jesus say that He is the Way, the Truth and Life to which I agree so what is the Way, the Truth and Life?

Psa 119:1 ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the Law of the LORD. 2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 3 They also do no iniquity (transgression / lawlessnes): they walk in his ways. 4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy Law is the truth.

Psa 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy Commandments are truth.

Psa 119:160 Thy Word is truth from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Deu 32:46 And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this Law. 47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life,

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ... 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Deu 5:16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged,

Is not God our Father, our ultimate Father to whom we are to honor by obeying just as Jesus honored Him through His obedience? Was it not Jesus, the Word of God that put on flesh the one who spoke the Words of God to Moses? According to Jesus it was.

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
1Jn 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

The Son came to rightly teach the Way of the Father, not to choose a new people to walk in disobedience to the Father. It has been the Son from the beginning. First with and in the Name of the Father and then in the flesh with the Name of Salvation.

Psa 118:14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. (salvation = Jesus His Greek name or Yeshua His Hebrew name)

Heb 4:8 For if Joshua (same Greek word for the name Jesus) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

AND I do want all to know and understand that I am in NO WAY saying that we can not worship on Sunday. But to claim that Sunday replaces His seventh day Sabbath is putting the the doctrines of man above the Way of God as the Word of God that put on flesh gave it to us. It was these kinds of uusuroing God's authority that Jesus made a mockery of by nailing them to the cross.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of dogma that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew (mockery) of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
