“Protect the environment”

OK... fine.. but hopefully we’re not going to hear him using the Papal pulpit to push a “climate change” agenda.

I do not think he will go and preach about global warming, rather it is living a life of simplcity.

not a chance. the modern green movement is nature worshipping. Never believe the AP’s guesses that “this maps out his priorities”...<

He is what I call a Papal hybred, a Jesuit with a Francisian spirituality.

My understanding, as a Catholic, is that protecting nature is just being responsible stewards as individuals. Don’t trash things, recycle, hunt responsibly, etc.. It has nothing to do with Earth worshipping, man hating, environmentalists.

I’m not Catholic but I agree about good stewardship being a Christian ideal.

Yes, it’s taking care of God’s gifts and not taking them for granted. Using His gifts to help others or simply enjoying His vast creation for it’s beauty, all the while giving thanks.

Its one of those basic common sense things. A man who destroys his own environment will be left with nothing. Its why shepherds rotate flocks and farmers rotate crops.

It would be nice if he would also speak out for those who are suffering from being oppressed by the state (the envirowackos in power for example or those who tax business owners) but I Doubt that will happen.

Do not see anything from his past to indicate that that message will change.

NO, you won’t. What you will hear is the beauty of truth in how to care for God’s creation....not the distorted and counterfeit perspective given by the left (who I fully see as under the influence of satan).

PS: Satan’s most effective ploys have been to attempt to counterfeit the greatest truths and distort them in a vile manner. Marriage and HOW to care for the poor are some of the others.
