the majority DO embrace it -- 10% are jihadis, another 50% support this actively and another 35% passively. Ask any Moslem if those who insult the prophet should be beheaded and they'll hem and haw.

One memorable comment years ago from a_Turk answered this question. He said if you insult the Prophet, "a billion Muslims will seek to kill you where you stand."
