i'd say there is a slight difference between something that was known to be man made and produced in quantity before the formula was lost and something that is a one-off and cannot be explained...Science still can’t fully explain things like the ancient Wootz steel.
Therefore, Wootz steel must be holy.

Show me an ancient stainless steel sword with a photo of Jesus on it and we’ll talk. Otherwise, no go ~ the formula and process seem to have been lost as recently as the 18th century anyway.

The U.S. has vaults containing metals that you are not even allowed to know the name of. The vaults are under 24 hr. armed guard. These metals aren't 'holy' but Wootz steel is marshmellow compared.
