Thank you so much for your prayers - David is 19. He has had considerable adversity in his life. At five years of age he was diagnosed with a soft tissue cancer (rhabdomyosarcoma) above his left eye.
Mrs. MacNessa and I stood with him during a year of weekly chemo, through six weeks of daily radiation treatments, several inpatient hospitalizations for line infections and a C. difficile infection. We almost lost him then - his pre-cancer weight was 40 lbs. - by the time of the C. diff infection he was below 28 lbs.
There have been sequellae - as a result of the Rad treatment he developed a cataract in his left eye and underwent lens replacement surgery - successful - at age 12. He continues to have other late effects.
We are very proud of him and most concerned for his future at the same time. We pray daily for him along with many other causes dear to us.
Deo Volente!

Prayers for you and your family FRiend!!! Glad to see your update that his concussion is mild. Hoping/praying that all injuries heal quickly & perp does time.
If the hospital refers you to any sort of concussion care program I would advise you to participate. My youngest had a “moderate” sports related concussion and went into a CC program. They had protocols for all symptom of recovery and it really helped alot. The brain needs to “turn off” to rest to heal.
Hugs, PM
