True, and I feel sure there are some non believers who work very hard to present themselves as someone who is Christian while in reality they are anything but Christian. They're here specifically to bait others and keep flame wars going as often as possible.

Personally, I think the "who has the better Jesus" threads are a distraction. As Americans and Christians we have much bigger threats facing us.

You ever notice in the gospels some of the interaction between Jesus and the Pharisees? He had some pretty strong words for them. *hypocrite* and *white washed tomb* come immediately to mind.

Look what they ended up doing to Him because He told them the truth.

Talk about flame war.

Speaking the truth will not engender a positive reaction among those who hate it.
