Andrew Sullivan on Gay Marriage Decision: "I Think Jesus Is Weeping for Joy"
Townhall ^ | June 27, 2013 | Greg Hengler

You will almost always see the two words "I think..." when someone is claiming to know or follow the teachings of Christ but their worldview and lifestyle run in direct opposition to His. For example: "I am a Christian who loves Jesus but I think today's Supreme Court decision was a good thing."

SULLIVAN: "I think Jesus is weeping for joy. I don’t think Jesus is on the other side of this. Although I don't wanna claim to know anything about that. But I do know that Jesus was always on the side of love,”

Sullivan asserts himself on behalf of the teachings of Jesus Christ and then immediately wipes his hands clean of his assertion. Then he concludes with the patented "Jesus is love" so it's all good! Sullivan should look up the huge gulf between the Greco-Roman, or, the world's definition of love and that of Jesus Christ. Loving your neighbor begins and ends with saving their soul (the Great Commission). Hating your neighbor would be to let them continue in their sin and have them die in it.

His reaction proves he does not know Christ. Christ was both love and justice. That last part being an inconvenient truth for many. He did not support sin in any form. Ever. It’s one thing to have those supporting this nonsense rejoice, but quite another when they attempt to bring God into it — committing blasphemy. As a Christian I find that beyond offensive. Leave my God out of your depravity, Andrew!

Liberals hate the Lord. In the dark of night they are scared he is real and it scares the hell out of them !

Sullivan is an ignorant little twat. His opinion is worth less than the bug splat on my windshield.

You sir are an idiot.
Why would the son of God be happy that God’s word has just been trampled on? That sin has just been made legal and celebrated? That perversion is being forced into our society?
No sir, the Holy Trinity weeps today as more of God’s children step closer to the pits of Hell.

OK, I see it’s a novel by Malachi about the Vatican, but I still don’t get it.

Nothing surprises me from the satanic left anymore.

And the majority of the American population either votes for the satanic left, or they can't be bothered to get off their dead rears and vote.

“God even loves Andrew Sullivan.”—Malachi Martin. Why did you make this comment? Since you supposedly don’t know the author.

I wouldn’t say I KNOW the author. I had a long conversation with him one time at a cocktail party and he said that.

Yes, I read The Jesuits. That’s what we were discussing. I was naming all the fictional characters in the book with their real names, and he was denying all of it, as he would have had to. Then we got into other stuff I guess if we ended up talking about Sullivan.

Since, you had a long conversation, what was your impression of the man?

I just did a little reading on Google and realized The Jesuits was nonfiction. I can’t remember now which book it was that we were talking about. It was a long time ago. It was about Liberation Theology in part. Maybe it was The Decline and Fall of the Roman Church. That one WAS faction. In fact the dates don’t work properly for The Jesuits in terms of where I was at the time.

He was a man you could have a real conversation with at a New York cocktail party, which is saying a lot. He listened to every word you said, not looking around to see who else he could talk to who might be more important than me. I remember no one came up to interrupt us either, so we must have looked quite involved in our discussion. He was intense and full of truth, even while denying who his fictional characters were. I had the feeling there was something he wanted to impart to me also. A man of enormous sensitivity and graciousness. There was not one awkward second when we finally let go of our discussion. I think I did read the Jesuits afterward.
