I imagine Pope Francis would have a few things to say about Pelosi and her dark chocolate covered strawberry birthday air force flight diva tantrums.

I guess you know that she recently flew to the Vatican to meet him and to receive communion?

I don’t know if the Catholic representatives of the United States, Biden and Pelosi flew together or how they traveled, only that they met with the Pope and received communion at the Vatican.

Not from the Pope. The Pope does not distribute Communion at these gatherings.

Isn’t that spreading misinformation?

You know, I don’t care that it wasn’t “from the Pope”. It was at his **inaugural mass**. I don’t care if it was Father XYZ who gave them communion. It shouldn’t have happened. Period.

But it did. And something is terribly wrong with that fact.

When will it stop?

Although analogies are never perfect, this situation reminds me of a situation where someone has a party at their house where minors are present. The minor drinks alcohol, but then the adult says “I didn’t hand them the drink”, so all’s good. But it’s not all good. They are just as responsible even if they didn’t actually hand the drink to the minor.

Careful - I pointed this out on a thread and got my head ripped off as a heretical, Pope-hating, Catholic-hating, screed-filled liberal-leftist-marxist undermining anti-conservative unAmerican shill. All by "Catholics" who were worried about the safety of my eternal soul, of course.

That's all they said to you?

You got off easy.

Better put a flame suit on. When we non-Catholics point that out, we get shredded.

Pelosi Catholics is not just correct, it is a terrific – if unintended – pun. In Italian, the adjective “peloso”, of which “pelosi” is the plural, means “hairy”, but it has also the connotations of dishonesty and self-serving pseudery conveyed by the English “greasy”. So: Pelosi Catholics are greasy [pseudo] Catholics.

It might be possible that the priest or deacon distributing Communion didn’t know who Pelosi or Biden were, so didn’t have any idea about their beliefs about abortion, or anything else. Another thought is that if the person giving Communion DID know, they didn’t want to disrupt the Mass for the Pope by denying them Communion, and allowed them to take the sin upon themselves for receiving when they KNOW they shouldn’t.

As hard to believe as that is, it doesn't apply to Senator Ted Kennedy.

CORRECTION: Ted Kennedy DID Receive Communion at the Papal Mass BY LIFESITENEWS.COM Fri Apr 18, 2008

""Two of my sons and I attended the Papal Mass yesterday. We were seated in section 216, directly above the section in which Ted Kennedy was seated. Several minutes prior to the general distribution of communion a priest walked down to Ted Kennedy and gave him communion. There was some discussion amongst we in our section about the inappropriateness of his reception of the Host. Be certain, he remained seated not out of some self-enforced respect for the sacrament, but rather out of respect for his girth and mobility."

"Our photographer friend was of course not focusing on Kennedy at the time and did not expect that he would be given this special advance reception of communion. Organizers of the event did not seem to at all be mindful of the public scandal of this occurrence given that they made a special effort to ensure the Senator was given the host despite his very well known lack of communion with the Church on the issues of abortion, homosexuality and other serious moral issues."

Again, the priest or deacon distributing Communion may have decided he didn’t want the possibility of disruption of the Mass. Either way, if the person receiving Communion isn’t in the proper state of grace, it will be to the detriment of his or her soul.

Disruption of the mass?

Read that description again, the Priest went to Ted Kennedy who was seated out in the church’s audience. Dodd, and Pelosi and John Kerry all, also received communion during the Pope’s visit in 2008.

At first it was mistakenly reported that Ted Kennedy had not taken part in the ceremony because he had not left his seat.

“”WASHINGTON, DC, April 17, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - At the papal Mass at Nationals Park this morning with 46,000 in attendance, pro-abortion Senators John Kerry and Chris Dodd presented themselves for and received Holy Communion. Of note, pro-abortion Senator Ted Kennedy purposefully did not receive Communion. Photos taken by Tom McFadden Director of Admissions at Christendom College and provided first to LifeSiteNews.com, show Kerry and Dodd receiving while Kennedy remains seated as his row leaves to receive Communion.””

Another time:
“According to Novak and other news sources, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and three senators — John Kerry, Edward Kennedy, and Christopher Dodd—received Communion at an outdoor Mass at Nationals Park in Washington.”
