*****Gal_1:19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.*****
There are only two Apostles named James, one is the son of Zebedee and Salome and the other the son of Mary and Cloaphas.
******Perhaps it’s not that the sentence is inane...Could it be the comprehension skill of the reader that is in doubt???****
No, the sentence is inane.
That passage does not say that those who came to see Jesus were rejected by Him, nor does it say that they did not obey Him, which was your contention in your post previous to the one with the inane sentence.
Again, the word brethren could have encompassed all those related to Him in any way. Again, the argument is not whether there were brothers and sisters in the household with Jesus.
The question is whether or not any of them were children of Mary. The answer to that question is no. We don’t know who these brothers and sisters of Jesus are, but they are never identified as Mary’s children.
*****So those are just more meaningless words that Jesus threw into the scriptures to take us space, eh???******
Do not mistake my rejection of your convoluted debate to mean that I find anything Jesus said to be meaningless.
Rather take my responses for what they truly are....an indication that I find your exegesis meaningless.
More applause. You have risen to a great level. Brethren means kinfolk. As it does in English, when applied to common usage.
