Daniel Secord was born in New Rochelle March 1698 the son of Daniel Sicard 1672 and Catherine Woertman He is listed in the first census taken of the area Sept 1698 as a 6 month old child..

Peters younger brother Jacques/James is mine..

Peter and James and their older brother John and their teenage sons were all Loyalists..most fought with Butler’s Rangers..and their wives and children fled from PA to Canada..

I think your Daniel was the one who fought in Brant’s Rangers..Joseph Brant was an Indian chief..

Im a member of the UELAC United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada with 5 certificates and a member of a Huguenot society..

Ambroise Sicard and his sons were Huguenots..
