Really?
When you sin, what do you do?
Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.
Truly amazing how one without the Spirit interprets Scripture. Even before I was born again, I wouldn’t have gotten that meaning from it.
Ah well....
Jesus said to them again, Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.
Well, I have received the Holy Spirit...So do I forgive myself???
I suspect that every time you come across a post of ours that contains scripture (which is very often), you and the rest of your team mates skip right over the scriptures posted...
I'm going to post some scripture that if you read it, you likely won't get it...But if you do get it, you won't believe it...But you would do well to pay attention to it...
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
There's more to this story but every word in these scriptures is true...
