Ravi Zacharias falling for this stuff? Where is the proof?
I’ve listened on and off to Stanley. He’s okay, but I never really thought he was all that outstanding. I prefer Zacharias and David Jeremiah, and Lutzer. I forget Lutzer’s first name, as I don’t get to hear him much, but he is good when I do hear his messages. I prefer to study my Inductive Study bible, which has no commentary by anybody, but helps you to discover the message of the text by studying the key words, and elements in the passage. You read this person’s Bible commentary or another and they all have differing views. It’s very confusing.

Some about Zacharias here. I think it is the second link where there is an excerpt from an interview in 2012 where he says he regrets saying Henri Nouwen was a great saint.
Have always learned, learned, learned from Dr. Stanley.
Erwin Lutzer is who you mean, I think. He is good too...recommended a book by him to another member recently. Don’t think I know Jeremiah, but will google him.
I use the Life Application Bible.

Erwin Lutzer.
I, too, use an Inductive Study Bible. NASV
I've read a lot of Matthew Henry commentary and like it for the most part, while realizing that it's just one man's opinion. Plus the fact that he died while writing the commentary on the book of Acts and the rest of the New Testament commentary was written by a panel of his "peers" but still has the name Matthew Henry attached to it.
ED Lutzer at Moody Church is as SOLID as A ROCK!!!!
