Um, no. It would be more like preferring the person of Jesus over the book written about Him. You might really rely upon the book, love it and be very glad it was written, and draw from it daily, but you know that Jesus the person is more than the narrative of Jesus.
Hey, at least Christians of every stripe are on a better footing than the muslims, who believe that their actual, physical Book is holy— the pages, the glue, etc., instead of looking higher.
Catholics do not hate the Bible.
