I thought this was one of the funniest things I had read on FR. Then I realized you weren't kidding.
It takes awhile for many Jews to trust you enough to open up about their feelings regarding Christians.
Most Jews I work with are atheist and are very suspicious of motives when talking religion.
You have to listen and be interested in their lives.
Many have tragic stories about their parents in the war.
Most have family living in Israel and they worry about that a great deal.
Just like the ‘29 crash left a permanent mark on our parents and grandparents, WWII left one on our Jewish friends that can’t be easily removed.
As I tell others, once you have visited Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, you are never quite the same ever again.
Shalom
