A Great Example of that Idiomatic ..... well.... idiom
Too often the Bible is given a “wooden” literal” “translation”..
I can not remember where the scripture about telling that mountain to move” is located but its not a physical mountain that being referred to as far as O know. were told that if we have sufficient faith that the mountain SHALL move...and as far as I know....there havent been any reported mountain movements...physical mountains at any rate.
I could use Google to look it up and try to imply to you that I'm such a religious genius that I knew it by heart, but I don't want to go to hell.
Anyway... Most of the Bible is about conveying a CONCEPT. The details are there only to help the mind understand the concept.
There are many different versions of the Bible, and it is translated into most known languages. It would be impossible to insist on one literal translation because there isn't one literal source.
Which has never stopped anyone from doing so, and brings us back to square one.
