Will Lunar Eclipses Cause Four Blood Moons in 2014 and 2015?

I don’t believe the Bible is the literal truth. I think it tells parables. I don’t think Blood Moons are anything of importance, nor do I believe in any Rapture. I do believe in God.

I probably should of just avoided this thread, as arguing religion is somewhat pointless. It was late for me, and I should have just left it alone. Anyway, take care.

It’s like a rubber band that you stretch. You keep stretching it and you get ready for the SNAP that you know is going to happen. You know it’s just about to happen, but you can’t say when, exactly.

Now the question is, with the rubber band - as you’re pulling it - is it going to snap next year, or a decade from now? No, because you know it’s just about to happen, because you’ve taken it TO THE LIMIT and you know it can’t last too much longer, and you CRINGE, just waiting for that SNAP.

Well, we’ve taken it to the limit and we’re just waiting for the SNAP right now.

Gen 1:14 And Elohim said, “Let lights come to be in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and appointed times, and for days and years, 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it came to be so.

sign: a signal, flag, beacon, omen; (properly in relation to time, to come, of the future)

God gives His approval or disapproval via blessings and curses. He never says I give you a sign as My approval.

Well ... you can come up with whatever “name” you want for those tetrads in the past and the situations that accompanied them. I’m less interested in the name, as much as I’m interested in the pattern that has been exhibited.

If you want to use “sign” for those tetrads as described in the various articles, that’s fine with me, as it doesn’t matter much to me as much as what has been happening.

using the word “sign” is not by my choice, it is what God says they are for and He doesn't just send one, He never has. He is a merciful god not wanting anyone to be lost. But because most will choose to change His Word to fit their man made theologies, sadly many will be lost because they refuse to just let God's Word mean what He gave it to mean.

I know what the Bible says, according to the Genesis quote you gave. The problem is ... I don’t know if those tetrads are what is being talked about in Genesis 1:14.

So, they may not be a “sign” from God, any more than the Comet ISON is a sign from God. If the Comet ISON is a “sign from God” - then I would like to know what it is a sign of, or about (if someone happens to think that).

Not everything that happens every single night in the sky is a sign from God. Every lunar eclipse is not a sign from God. Every solar eclipse is not a sign from God. Every comet is not a sign from God. The meteorite that hit Russia a little while back is not a sign from God. Haley’s Comet is not a sign from God. The meteorite that hit Winslow, Arizona and made a mile-wide crater is not a sign from God.

Regardless of the above, though, one thing is for sure, though, there is a pattern in those tetrads, and I’ll be curious to see if something develops in connection with the upcoming tetrad.

I totally agree that we can not say for sure at this time what they are meant for or if it is merely just another astronomical cycle.

But what I do know is that the Bible teaches us that we will understand the times by the signs and seasons (God appointed times), so that is why I will do as commanded when the first one arrives and continue to rid my life of the leaven of religion that has been added to the Word of God as Christ teaches us to do.

So while we have advance notice of the upcoming signs in the sky, it will not be until they come and we see what is happening in the world in regards to God's people, and not just the Jews, but also the Christians as God's signs are for all his people, not just one religion that gave it its name from but one of the twelve tribes of Israel. But whatever we see, it must align with what God has spoken through His prophets as He says that He does nothing without first revealing it through the prophets.

And I will tell you, I am in disagreement with the claims of the establishment of the state of Israel as having anything to do with the previous tetrads. But there were other things happening at the time that do agree with what the prophets wrote, and so I will begin keeping close track of the happenings in the days leading up to and just after Purim as to the brand of leaven we are dealing with during the first blood moon.

Well God did create the sun and moon for a purpose, but their purpose was help people determine his holy days:

(GW) Then God said, "Let there be lights in the sky to separate the day from the night. They will be signs and will mark religious festivals, days, and years

But I think this prognostication based on "blood" moons is pretty far fetched. It's safe to say that the holy days of the Lord can and do herald significant events which of course is part of the reason for their creation.

I tend to agree, but don’t recall the verse you mentioned in that form. Can you cite it?

We indeed live in exciting times wherein solar eclipses fascinate the sense of ourselves as living in the universe. At least as long as they last.

In that such a totality also brought Einstein confirmation of more distant starlight being bent along the gravitational field of the sun, lends such perfect alignment the whiff of Divinity.

But even these events take place against the larger cosmic backdrop. These may be interesting for study, but always with an eye as to how they contribute to the whole. And therein the sole focus of worship should be on the Almighty, and not merely those aspects of His invention.
