6. Saint Augustine (354-430)

The greatest of the Fathers of the West and one of the great Doctors of the Church, Saint Augustine laid the foundations of Catholic theology. In his celebrated Confessions, he thus condemns homosexuality:

"Those offences which be contrary to nature are everywhere and at all times to be held in detestation and punished; such were those of the Sodomites, which should all nations commit, they should all be held guilty of the same crime by the divine law, which hath not so made men that they should in that way abuse one another. For even that fellowship which should be between God and us is violated, when that same nature of which He is author is polluted by the perversity of lust."6

Any Christian worth his or her salt knows that sodomy is wrong. If not, they should question their true belief and understanding of the Bible.

hard to defend the Gospel when the President is bisexual. Now more Americans will believe they have to try it because the President says homosexuality is moral. It’s a mixed up crazy world

The fact we have to oppose “sodomy” on a constant today, as well as those who choose to murder babies, children, and that of the elderly....coupled with all the sexual perversion which has become the “standard” of behavior today ..certainly attests to how depraved this nation IS...not becoming but has already more than passed over the threshold of the standards God intended would protect man from himself.

Every Christian 'knows' what God says about Sodomy and sexual perversion, it's very clear in God's written word to us. The most ancient writers can do is reinforce what is already known....and obvious few hear them any better now then they did then or we wouldn't be in the condition we are today that we see around us.

Only the Holy Spirit of God can change the wiles of men..... few today are interested or willing to hear or act on the Spirits lead and conviction...instead they are heaping up Pastors, Priests and others who “tickle their ears” with what they want to hear.

One of the most important, non-canonical books, is The Didache. Estimated Range of Dating: 50-120 A.D. It is a short yet succinct writing. Note the following:

Chapter 2. The Second Commandment: Grave Sin Forbidden. And the second commandment of the Teaching; You shall not commit murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not commit pederasty, you shall not commit fornication, you shall not steal, you shall not practice magic, you shall not practice witchcraft, you shall not murder a child by abortion nor kill that which is born. You shall not covet the things of your neighbor, you shall not swear, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not speak evil, you shall bear no grudge. You shall not be double-minded nor double-tongued, for to be double-tongued is a snare of death. Your speech shall not be false, nor empty, but fulfilled by deed. You shall not be covetous, nor rapacious, nor a hypocrite, nor evil disposed, nor haughty. You shall not take evil counsel against your neighbor. You shall not hate any man; but some you shall reprove, and concerning some you shall pray, and some you shall love more than your own life.

Direct and to the point.

This is all good— but lacking Only in the personal witness of the modern man. Those who say it isn’t right for them lack the juevos to insist it is Just NOT Right. IT remains a sin against God and Man —a crime of infamy worthy of death.

Well, these saints can kiss goodbye the possibility of a show on A&E.

Seriously, though, they are correct in every word.
