Actually we are not.
The Bible makes it clear that while the princes of the air will strive for that, their efforts will be brought to naught until God removes his restraining hand from this world.
God is in control.
It looked very much as if nothing could stop a one world government in the fifteenth century...then suddenly there were three continents to explore and settle and everything came to naught.
I am looking for the burden of Damascus to fall though. That is one of the precursors to the tribulation period we have yet to see. Along with the restoration of temple sacrifice in Jerusalem.
I tend to agree with Irvin Baxter (Endtime Ministry) and his take on the times we are living in right now. So far, I’ve only observed him to be a humble man who has studied Bible prophecy for many years & seems to me to be pretty much right on the money about the times in which we’re living. - I’m weary of war; but prophecy seems to say we can expect more and bigger wars soon. Evidently, the times are farther along than a lot of people like to think.
