"If we can ask what happened to the second Commandment, we should also ask what happened to the fourth one as well, and not only for Catholics but for everyone who attends a Sunday-keeping church. "

If I may ask, are you a Seventh-day Adventist?

For another book that discusses that question Bacchiocchi raised (as well as the question concerning the commandment against worshiping statues, and many other related questions), I urge you to read "Where is That in the Bible?" by Patrick Madrid

Does it take a seventh day Adventist to read very plain words of how god rested on the seventh day and called it the Sabbath?

“Where is That in the Bible?” by Patrick Madrid

Genesis 2:2-3
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Exodus 20:8–10

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle...

Exodus 20:11

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Ezekiel 20:12

12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.
