Just because someone is Christian and Conservative does not mean that there are not very powerful Christian and RC leaders that are both socialist and in favor of amnesty.

The biggest single indicator of how someone votes is, are they Christian, or anti-Christian.
Evangelical Christians for instance are close to an 80% conservative vote, while the atheists are about 80% or more liberal voters.
