There seems to be diverse opinions about the length of time of Jesus's ministry. And, that depends upon the opinions of the scholars and what sources they are referencing and what point they are trying to prove.
That whole discussion is on par with arguing about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
2000 years later it really doesn't matter. What does matter is that Jesus did live and what he taught while walking the earth and what he is teaching all of us, now.

Those of us that really believe in the Lord don’t care much for all the nay saying here as we know that the Lord Himself has control over things, including this movie, those who put it together and those who will watch it. Rick Warren and Joel Osteen will see that the Son of God is a big hit at the theaters. They’ve got the money to buy up a few million tickets themselves. After all they are “technical advisors” for the reedited TV movie.

I would love to see them pushed on what that means. Doubt many would give any definition that resembles what is said in Scripture.

In Light of the EPIC movie Son of God, BEWARE. There IS another Jesus. There is a Biblical Jesus (The Word become Flesh) and one that is UN-biblical, that is quoted as say things NOT in the bible. IE "lets Change the World"
Where oh where does scripture show that The Biblical Jesus told us to "change the world?" So Son of God must be speaking of???? Another Jesus!!!
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.
Beware of the Ecumenical Message from the movie called The Son of God. Jesus did not come to "change the world" that is THE SOCIAL GOSPEL, Jesus came to "Save the World"
The Social Gospel (False Gospel) that is spreading like wild fire, would be equal or liken to, having told Noah "instead of building that Ark there Noah, how bout you go and make earth better" "Hey all you people, even though Titanic has struck the iceberg, we are here to make you feel better about yourself and help you arrange deck furniture" It sounds so good and noble BUT to those "in the days of Noah" ONLY the ark could save, to those sinking on the Titanic...only Life Boats could save and to ALL those lost and headed for everlasting torment, ONLY The Gospel of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified can save. Jesus did NOT come to "change the world" He came to "seek and save that which was lost." The EPIC movie being touted Son of God, is VERY much of the warning Jesus Himself trumped in Mathew 24. "Many will come IN MY NAME" but their message will be FALSE.
In just plain speak, to all who might want to hold to the "change our world" theology (Dominion/Kingdom Now)
Name One place on planet earth that The Church is "winning culture?" The commission isn't to make earth better but share The Good News, that even though this place is headed for destruction, Jesus has overcome the Grave and Romans 10:13 "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." 2 Peter 3:11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
We can see in that passage alone that this place despite all human effort is heading for a time of disaster YET there is this "we are the world" message of unity and tolerance that has unfortunately taken deep root even "in the church." It is ecumenical, it's COEXIST "for the greater good."
Look what is happening in real time. A movie is coming out called NOAH and yet its message is "save the earth." Its been declared "unbiblical" by the secular media even asking the question "Will Evangelicals support unbiblical Noah?"
And then a movie titled Son of God (In My Name) is produced by Roman Catholics heavily into new age mysticism and speaking with the dead. (Necromancy)

Your first paragraph, well said Brother. Well said. I fully agree. THE BOOK tells us better than sloughing in a chair and watching it mouthing down popcorn and nachos.
Osteen, Warren, Meyers, etc. are all false teachers and leading thousands down the wide road to hell.

They sold their souls to the 501C3's tax exemption and no longer preach the true word of GOD.
I had one who called himself a man of God, stand up and preach a sermon on thorns in the flesh. His example was a 4 year old whose lazy father would not take the child to the bathroom and the child wet his pants. The father then beat the child to DEATH. The child was a THORN in the man's flesh. I GOT UP AND LEFT WHEN HE STARTED THAT GARBAGE. I AM THE MOTHER OF A MURDERED CHILD. DID YOU NOT STOP TO THINK HOW YOUR WORDS HURT ME? YOU KNEW I WAS TO BOOT!
I now go to a Assembly of God church where the entire word is preached, along with the Holy Spirit or Ghost baptism, speaking in tongues as they did on the day of Pentecost. It is something you have to want, it is not automatically given. Just as saying you believe in your mind Christ is God's son. That won't get you into Heaven, you have to HIDE CHRIST IN YOUR HEART to get that reward!
The BIBLE has not changed, man has changed. The Word of GOD never changes.
Don’t want to watch the filth that comes first, then get the movie from Netflix or Amazon.
I watch them to find the flaws. Boy did that first on have a lot. Including time line issues.

Thrice-married Roma Downey is not a devout Catholic. Devout Catholics had nothing to do with this film. Her husband is not a Catholic. The vast majority of the technical advisors for this film were New Age feel good protestants like Rick Warren and Joel Osteen.
The 3.5 year ministry was solely the creation of Eusebius.
Prior to his mischief, it was commonly held that Yeshua’s ministry was about one year. Eusebius added the words of John 6:4 to the Bible to stretch the length of Yeshua’s ministry, but failed to consider that the words he added would be far beyond anything a real Jew like John would write about one of the chief prophecies of the entire scriptures, and the literal key to salvation. (Oops!)
