It’s amazing. Carter claims to have been a Sunday School Teacher yet he never read the letters written by Paul covering these matters? Absolutely Amazing. I’d like for him to point to chapter and verse where it states man can be an abusive tyrant to wife and family and do so with GOD’s Blessing. I read quite the opposite with a burden of responsibility and accountability placed upon the man for treatment of his family as well as providing for them.

I heard Carter refer to RWR as "ol Reagan" the other day.

No class, right to the end.

Come on people. The guy will be 90 years old this year. Don’t even report on what he says. My dad was pretty lucid when he was 90, but sitting down to an interview would had been a stretch.

Carter is given over to the failed concept described by Robert Bork as radical egalitarianism, which defies or ignores physical facts.

In the Christian paradigm, women are not inferior. Quite the opposite--they are esteemed.

But they are different. God made them so, and (I believe) has chosen for each of us what we are to be, including gender.

But the implementation of the religious aspects of leadership as pastors, bishops, elders, deacons, and/or teachers of doctrine is decidedly not given to humans of the female gender. They are given other important essential functions (not to be delegated to human males) for which they are responsible; and when carried out as intended, will receive the commendation, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" at the Bema Seat of Christ.

Where most denominations have erred is in instituting a non-Biblical system of ecclesiological administration, the bifurcation into clergy and lay classes. In fact, one o the important features of a Christian assembly is that it regards all believers to consist of a kingdom of priests, women included, distinctly different than the organizational model of religion under the Mosaic/Davidic covenant.

To disregard this fact is fatal to executing the way God is currently dealing with mankind.

And this is where Carter goes 'way astray, in both religion, politics, international statesmanship, and family life.

My wife cannot be a priest (among other reasons, she’s not Catholic). I cannot be a nun (male; also not Catholic). I don’t see either restriction as a sign of inferiority. Carter has always been an educated fool, and now he’s losing what little connection he ever had to reality.

He also forgets churches have a right and a duty before GOD for Elders, Deacons. Pastors, etc. to write the church charter and establish it's positions within the church accordingly. I know of no church in these United States where attendance and compliance is compulsory or only one church allowed for all.

Denying women the priesthood is the only area in which the Catholic Church treats women differently from men, and that denial is not based on the notion that women are somehow incompetent to get the job done. As much as anything, it is based on the idea that a priest is kind of a stand-in for Jesus during the performance of the mass, and I say “performance” deliberately, because the mass is kind of a ritual re-enactment of aspects of the last supper. To have a woman in that role would be bad art, like having a woman play Abraham Lincoln. And why do people like Carter never mention that the Orthodox Church also has a male-only priesthood?

We should return to the original qualification for voting in this country: Male white property owners. When they let women vote my mother said it was the stupidest thing they ever did. she said she got her vote counted at the dinner table and the bedroom.

Only property owners and tax-payers should be able to vote!

No jail for Jimmuh, but he would be wise to find a seniors facility that has a section for those suffering dementia.

While I find plenty objectionable in the Roman church, not having females serving as leaders is not one of them. That is what the Bible says (1 Tim 1:2, 1 Tim 1:12, 1 Tim 3:13). Jimmuh seems to forget that nary a Southern Baptist church has a female pastor, or at least a senior pastor. No Evangelical churches that I know of, have female senior pastors though female pastors usually lead women’s ministries, youth ministries and sometimes even worship ministries.

In the Creation story, Gen 1-3, God created man to lead but he failed. He was given the task of naming all the animals then the person created from his flesh. He named her ‘the woman’ (not yet named Eve) and failed to protect her from the serpent, so he failed as a man. He further failed by not owning up to his sin, instead, trying to shift the blame to ‘the woman’. Because of this original sin, we (men) tend to ‘dominate’ our wives, rather than leading as a servant, as Jesus led, a major cause of the ‘woman’s movement’, and the large numbers of divorces.

Numbers 12:14 And the Lord said unto Moses , If her father had but spit in her face , should she not be ashamed seven days ? let her be shut out from the camp seven days , and after that let her be received in again .

God rules or man rules.

has been visited on hundreds of millions of Muslim women. Why is this so? Because the Catholic Church doesn’t ordain women.

This, of course, makes no sense, a classic non-sequitar

He blames Catholicism for Muslim abuse of women???

Exactly what I thought. I used to think Carter was just senile, on the edge of 90 and all.

But Jimmah has been delusional since he was 40.

So I DON'T give him a "pass".

He's just as insane in 2014 as he was in 1976.

But now as his life is nearing the end, he feels free to tell us what's ALWAYS been on his mind.

The anti-Semitism, the racism, the overall kookiness.

Carter is just being Carter.

And that's just sad.

I can't believe we elected this guy to POTUS.
