I find it interesting on a historical level. Don't much care if the shroud is genuine or bogus. It is by faith we come to Him and I don't require artifacts, statues, stained glass, golden or silver implements, or fine incense to hold onto my belief.
While proof of authenticity might go a long way, proof of a sham would crush many believers' faith - IMO, it's better to look on without making soul-deep attachments to physical objects.
