If you’re in Houston, don’t use public restrooms…..

…..because you have no idea what you may be confronted with.

I saw this when it was first passed a few weeks ago. It seems the rather militant lesbian mayor of Houston has played to her core base by getting the City Council there to approve an ordinance banning “discrimination” in public facilities on the basis of gender. This includes restrooms, and an immediate effect of the ordinance is that public restroom facilities in the City of Houston are now open to any of the 50 “sexes” that Facebook so helpfully made us aware of a short time ago. That is, men who pretend to be women can use the women’s room, and vice versa. I believe this policy also extends to dressing rooms at clothing stores, and the like:

It’s now legal for men to use women’s bathrooms, showers, and dressing facilities – and vice-versa – thanks to the passing of the Equal Rights Ordinance in Houston, TX last Wednesday night.

Mayor Parker, Houston’s first openly gay mayor, called it “most personally meaningful thing I will ever do as mayor.”

The ordinance’s stated goal is to eliminate discrimination in housing and employment for gays, transgenders – 14-characteristics in total – including race, ethnicity, age, religion and disability.

Opponents have 30 days to attain more than 17,000 petition signatures to appeal the decision.

Careful next time you venture into a restroom in Houston, you and your kids might get an eyeful of something you didn’t expect.

By the way, if you are a Christian and operate a public business in Houston, like, say, a restaurant, and you feel you cannot in conscience even tacitly encourage the kind of scandal that could result from intersex bathrooms, too bad. If you don’t comply, you can be fined from $500-$5000 per instance of “offense.”

And all this to please a minority that isn’t even half of one percent of the population. Heck, “transgenders” may not make up 1/10 of 1 percent. But they get their way, your Christofascist morals be damned.

Houston is a place I have assiduously avoided throughout my lifetime, and now I have another reason to do so. How long before public restrooms become havens of sexual assault and Lord knows what else?

Good job, Houston. Way to elect a radical to office.

What could possibly go wrong?

We conservatives in Upstate NY feel your pain.

We’ve been living with NYC and Ithaca for decades.

Maybe 100’s of men should give a friendly hello to the Mayor’s convention guests at the George R Brown Convention Center, Reliant Park and The Galleria wimmins restrooms.

Like the article headline reads....if you’re in Houston....don’t use public restrooms.

Because Houston doesn't have ANY other pressing problems.

You get what you deserve Houston, enjoy it.

In fairness, they did remove the specific wording concerning open restrooms; however, the first time someone’s feelings are hurt because they are told to use the appropriate restroom, they will file a complaint with the newly created Board for Correct Thought Control (or something like that)!

The business will have to spend money and time, and will be deluged with militant gay mafia picketers, etc... and ultimately will be fined by the Board to Deny Your Christian Beliefs and Rights (or something like that), based on the law which was passed - even though it does not have the restroom wording in the law!

I live about an hour north of Houston, and we have already discussed that we will no longer be traveling to the Houston area attractions like the zoo, museums, restaurants, businesses (when I can avoid them), or anything else! We have all of our grandchildren come down and spend at least a week or two with us each summer. The wife and I usually take them to see different attractions - we are taking them to Galveston, the San Jacinto Monument and the USS Texas Battleship this year (we are avoiding Houston)!

As a matter of fact, we moved from Arlington down to the Houston area. We are Texas Ranger fans. We had bought tickets for one of the Astros/Ranger games at Minute Maid Park; we are selling those tickets. We have decided to go visit family/friends in the DFW area and we will go see the Rangers in Arlington.

...by getting the City Council there to approve an ordinance...

Maybe a few dozen men and women ought to show up at the public restrooms outside council chambers and "help" the council see the error of their ways? A distasteful duty to be sure, but probably worth it.

The primary purpose of gender segregated public bathrooms is for the protection of women.
So this legislation is definitely anti-woman.

So men can now poop in the women's restrooms? That is meaningful?

That is creepy stuff. And I live under Connecticut politicians.

Well if you’re ever in Houston
Boy you better clench tight
Better lay off that coffee
And keep the meals real light

Cause the fella sitting right there
In the adjacent stall
Just flushed and opened up the stall door
He ain’t a fella at all!

So let the Tranny Special
Spew its vile on me
Let the Tranny Special
Spew its ever-fuggin’ vile on me

I say

Let the Tranny Special
Spew its vile on me
Let the Tranny Special
Spew its ever-fuggin’ vile on me
