I guess he must have confused the free market with our system of crony capitalism.
My guess is that we'd have to answer that question in order to evaluate what he's saying.
Without definitions, we're just expounding vehemently on nothing in particular.
I'm also talking about U.S. Chamber of Commerce types who are relentlessly bringing in more and more waves of foreign labor. It's not only landscapers, packinghouse workers, construction workers and farm labor, "Grapes of Wrath" style, but skilled labor that will work for half the American worker's wages at the same job.
This is capitalism, if you will -- minimizing costs, maximizing profits --- but it isn't what I would call honest free enterprise, and it's not good for the American community.
There's a great deal of crap that goes on under the name of "capitalism." If I oppose it, that doesn't make me a "socialist."
