The video features an interview with Richard Sipe, a man who has spent "the better part of his life" researching pedophile priests in the Catholic Church. He says what I truly believe: The Catholic Church still is in denial and is seeking to cover up the widespread sexual abuse of children by her priests instead of doing a truly rigorous top-to-bottom cleansing of these miscreants. The church only comes clean when caught red-handed.
Why? People who pray to dead people instead of God alone are not convicted by the Holy Spirit and seek human solutions to their sin instead of trusting the Lord Jesus Christ completely.
One has to question why so many depraved people saw the priesthood as an attractive career to begin with.
Something terribly went wrong with the way the Church recruits and attracts priests.

Why not indeed? Once a priest, always a priest according to FRoman Catholics. Suspended isn't enough. He betrayed a trust in the most heinous way imaginable. Strip him of his credentials, toss him in jail, and throw away the key.

The priesthood was infiltrated by homosexuals, who did what homosexual men do: go after teenage boys.
The problem is homosexual men and the dirty little secret of the objects of their desire: boys. Calling them pedophiles or talking about abuse of "children" serves to obscure the dangerous nature of normalizing homosexuality, and the only reason I can think of that people keep protecting homosexuals from public exposure by calling them pedophiles is that the people who do so are themselves homosexuals.

Child abuse is so unfunny that Catholics that focus on "diabolical" Masonry instead of their own priests deserve ridicule.
Most of their seminaries are apparently dens of rampant depraved homosexuality.
For what it is worth to the skeptics, the Church has drastically reformed the seminary and formation process to guard against these perps. As a result, admissions to seminaries of traditional vocations has rebounded, dramatically in some cases.
Nevertheless it is difficult to screen out the determined psychopath, and one may occasionally slip through, as happens with all churches, schools and other institutions. The church now has a zero tolerance policy and requires that knowledge of offending priests be reported to authorities.
Of course there is no satisfying the Catholic bashers here who will cling to any reason to nurture their hostility.

You are correct, there was a problem in recruiting priests. Those of us who went to Catholic school in the 60’s were given speeches about the evils of homosexuality. Priesthood celibacy was proposed to us as a sanctuary from the sin of homosexuality. What could possibly go wrong with homosexual priests and a crop of altar boys? I suppose some homosexuals took them up on idea and then couldn’t resist the temptation.
People will forget all about homosexual priests once we get homosexual Boy Scout leaders.

I guess you haven’t caught up with what Pope Benedict did in cleaning out the seminaries. He sent papal emissaries to all monasteries to inspect, interview, recommend changes, etc.
Applicants now must take a two day psyche exam, pastors are interviewed, parents and friends are interviewed, the applicant himself goes through a strenuous regimen of first, second and third interviews at different levels.
If you want the FR articles posted about it, I’ll be glad to supply them. Then, perhaps, the spreading of these untruths will cease.
