Christ used a lot of farming and herding allegories in his parables.

North Africa had a lot of grain, but they consumed a lot also.
For the late Republic, control of Egypt was the only way to keep Rome fed.

The name was used for overlapping areas. Palestine was the official name of the Roman province, and Judea was the southern part.

After the revolt of AD 70, Judea ceased to exist and the whole area was called Palestine.

What is funny is that the Arab’s the area call it after the name given to it by the Romans

That explains Rex Harrison and Richard Burton worrying about Elizabeth Taylor :-) thanks

didn’t read the whole article but I would say it’s about the same as today, mild and temperate, remember during Moses’ time they celebrated the first fruits (Shavuot/Pentecost)in May which means they had 2 growing seasons.

Not likely. It triggered a thunderstorm when he died. I don’t know about snow and lightning, but hey, can’t say miracles like Noah’s Ark aren’t possible.
