See? Even the Muslims recognize that we do not worship the same God as they do!
“Forget their strength” I like that. Consider the phrase lifted for fututre use :-)
I suspect Rivera might have been a Muslim infiltrator
I haven’t destroyed one yet, but it is an idol.
Then again, I don’t step into too many Catholic churches either.
That’s been fairly obvious for quite some time.
Any muslim who told you that was lying. They’re allowed to lie. Check that, they’re commanded to lie to “infidels”.
I’ll pass on this one.
In the Religion forum, on a thread titled Muslims Enter Catholic Church, See A Statue Of The Virgin Mary, Call It An Idol And Destroy It, Bulwyf wrote:

Ya know, I know there are dufi out there who confuse statues of real people with idols. I just cannot get over finding them here on FR.
Actually, this is Islam. When they conquer a country one of the first things they do is to tear down the local houses of worship and build a mosque on that land signifying the superiority of islam. Sadly, they Muslims are right in that the worship of Mary is idolatry. Sometimes our enemies know us better than we know ourselves.
They refer to Jesus as the Son of Mary several times in the Koran in an attempt to limit His divinity. In essence they are attempting to say He is only a man...nothing more. The Bible refers to Him as the Son of Mary once.
In the Koran, Jesus is described as the Word of God, born of the Virgin Mary by the power of the holy spirit of God (Allah), and is the Messiah.
But the Koran plainly repudiates that Jesus is God, is divine, that He is the Son of God or God the Son. It plainly repudiates the doctrine of the Trinity.
But Islam does hold both Jesus and Mary in high regard. The difference is that they believe that our regard for Jesus and Mary is blasphemous, as, an essential doctrine of Islam is that “God has no sons.”

Next is Son of God -- I think John might have the most references there.
Son of Mary Is this what you were thinking of? http://biblehub.com/mark/6-3.htm
Mistaken information there.
Pictures or statues are not idols. If that were true, then the pictures of your parents or children in your home would be idols.
Yes. I used the following for my search.

They could hold Mary in high regard and still regard any image an idol. Not that I care what they think! Islam is demonic possession.
You have parroted an anti-Catholic slander.
Catholics do not worship anyone or anything other than the triune God, like all other Christians.
You are parroting an anti-Catholic slander.
Catholics worship God, and nobody and nothing else.
Amen, brother. I’m shocked at how many educated folks can’t discern false doctrines, as their catechism tampers with the 2nd Commandment. There are also several pictures of one or more popes bowing their head to mary. You have a pope kissing the koran, another quote indicating the plan of salvation includes muslims. Wow. How any Christian could offer minimal respect to such a man is beyond my comprehension? Catholicism must have their devotees under some kind of weird brain lapse, as the Bible clearly states:
American King James Version
And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. (Matthew 23:9)
Matthew 6:9 instructs us exactly to whom we should pray.
There is no spiritual reverence shown to pictures of parents or children in word or deed - not a good analogy. There IS spiritual reverence shown to mary and the apostles in Catholicism, neither of whom can help anyone gain salvation. Please read Matthew 6:9
Were these “idols” reverenced? 1 Kings 6:23
AMEN, second it.
