I thought the court had thrown out the death sentence for this woman. But then they stopped her from leaving the country. What’s the status now?

The Courts threw out her death sentence, but there was in-fighting in the government ( mostly Muslim) , I heard, and threats towards those who would release her. Her brother is Muslim, and he is the one who originally turned her in!! Whether he did again, as she started to leave, I don’t know. Good for the Italians for making this happen. (And BAD for Obama).

Working behind the scenes, Pope Francis was able to arrange for her and her family to be transported to Italy. She plans to settle in the US.
