Looking for Feedback on Christian Healthcare

I'm seriously considering joining a Christian health care ministry in order to not be backstabbed by Obama's health care TAX next year. The three that I'm aware of are...

Samaritan Ministries http://samaritanministries.org

Christian Care Ministry’s Medi-Share http://mychristiancare.org/medi-share

Christian Healthcare Ministries http://www.chministries.org/

Can any FReepers who have experience with these organizations please share their experience?

We joined Samaritans this spring. So far, so good; although we haven’t had a shared need. If you like, try giving them a call, their customer service is very helpful, and quick.

Were members of Christian Care Ministry’s Medi-Share system several years ago for a few years. Were dropped as soon as we filed our first claim!

Medi-share was not interested in even allowing me to sign up as i am over 60, and pre-diabetic.

Nice way for Christians to treat the widows among them.

I called the guy out on it and quoted the Scriptures about taking care of the widows and he just equivocated.

Scr*w ‘em.

It’s very disheartening to see so scant and poor a list of experiences.

I am with Christian Healthcare since november 2013. I did not send in my receipts to know how that goes yet. I do know a friend's mother highly recommends it. She like it a lot. I have not talked to her in detail. She is in another state.

You can start at 50 dollars then go to maxim 150 dollars per month(estimate definitely close by mere dollars I will have to look it up to exact amount.).

I get notices to contribute for fund raising on the difference on others. The Message reads if everyone sends 17 dollars all people in need as members would be paid to their healthcare costs. I truly trust them. I have friends that just started. Also one friend could not pay the monthly fee so they gave him a skip months to pay. Meaning still covered. Awesome christian acting organization. I have faith in them.

I was told you can start at 45 dollars then up it later. At least you would be covered. They can and will negotiated the bill. One of my friends is on the 45 dollar plan. You can also use it as a Medicare supplement. I read this in the brochure.

CHM has three main programs from which you can choose: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Membership also is based on units. One unit is one qualifying individual; two units are two qualifying individuals; and three units are three or more qualifying individuals. Gold membership is $150 per unit, per month; Silver is $85 per unit, per month; Bronze is $45 per unit, per month. Learn more about units or see how CHM costs compare with health insurance.

This is the cheapest Christian group I ever found. This is all new to me too. I had health plan from work for 26 years. So after early retirement I use this group. I am sticking with this one. When I get my bill receipts back I will tell you what happen. Peace In Christ.

They have already rejected me. They seem to prefer young, healthy people. I referred them to 2nd Timothy, about widows over 60.

No dice.

I am too young for Medicare.

I joined Samaritan Ministries through The Health Co-Op. We have had great experiences with Samaritan and the co-op (additional benefits added to Samaritan). We would never go back to insurance. Prices don't vary by your age.
