Priest Pardoned by Pope Francis "The Holy Spirit Sends Us Jesus' Message through Fidel Castro."
Rorate Caeli ^ | 8/6/14

No, the Maryknoll Sandinista priest Miguel d'Escoto Brockmann, 81, who had his suspension a divinis -- first decreed by Pope John Paul II -- removed by Pope Francis in the past few weeks did not leave his absurd statements and government positions in the past, as one might gather from various news reports of the past couple of days that repeated his statements from many years ago.

He repeated such statements yesterday on Nicaraguan television, and now on a whole new unheard-of level.

For those who are unaware of its real meaning in practice and behind the theological fog, this is Liberation Theology. This is it:

MANAGUA - EFE - The priest and former Nicaraguan foreign secretary Miguel d´Escoto Brockmann said tday [Tuesday] that Cuban leader Fidel Castro is a chosen man of God to convey the message of the Holy Spirit in Latin America.

"The Vatican may silence everyone, then God will make the stones speak, and may the stones spread his message, but He didn't do this, He chose the greatest Latin-American of all time: Fidel Castro," the religious, 81 years old, declared today to Channel 4 in the local [Nicaraguan] television.

The messages aren’t all that mixed if you pay attention. Almost everything he says has to be corrected by someone or the nuances have to be pointed out because we are too dumb to understand he’s a Communist. The “tell” for me was when he had to explain his comment on a new beginning about sodomy. The Bible is plain and the church has handled sin for thousands of years and now that we have a new pope we must re examine how we approach homosexuals? Is it to make excuses for priests? I don’t know. Sorry, I don’t trust him and I won’t defend him. I think he will be a disaster for the church. Just look at South America and Central America and see that almost all are left wing activists. They will sell out Jesus for a new program for the poor. That’s his background. It’s the same disease Pelosi and Kerry have. They compare taking the children from Honduras across the border to Jesus going to Egypt as they kill babies and embrace homosexuality. Jesus says He never knew them even as they said Lord Lord.

He may get himself suspended again, or he could be senile.

I don’t know who’s crazier, the sandinista priest or the pope who lifted his suspension.

Seriously pope Francis, call me, I’ll share my meds!

I have no doubt about the faithfulness of Christ to His promise made to His church. I worry that the Great Commission is being made a muddle by the public announcements, actions and interviews of Francis.

He should not need to be explained by defenders nor should he be seen as a beacon of hope for those who reject Church teaching on certain issues. The fullness of Catholic teaching should be clearly preached by the Pope. This is an age where sin must be called out while extending the Truth about God’s mercy and Salvation through Christ alone.

Persecution for righteousness is one thing.

Getting what you have coming is another.

Is this priest who is speaking being persecuted for righteousness?

Yeah, I’m not seeing the comparison at all.

NOTHING makes for converts like persecution.

So why is Pope Francis persecuting the Franciscans of the Immaculate. Is he trying to convert them to his "brand" of Catholicism?

As I posted yesterday,.....”The third secret?”

The "errors of Russia" now seem to be spewing forth from the Vatican.
